Differences between the undirected and directed (ingoing and outgoing) representation of an example network. In the undirected case, the edge direction is ignored. In the ingoing case, the edge direction is reversed, meaning the adjacency matrix is transposed, and the ingoing edges are addressed instead of the outgoing edges. In the outgoing case, the original adjacency matrix is used addressing the outgoing edges
