a After the device is adjusted for the pelvic width, pelvic height, and error caused by soft tissue thickness, the legs of HipCOMPASS are placed on the left and right ASIS and on the pubic symphysis. In this position, the device is fixed by insertion of 1.5-mm K-wires through the hollow left and right ASIS legs and into the ASIS.
