The RIS of 1306 patients was estimated using α = 0.05 (two sided), β = 0.20 (power 80 %) and the empirical data autogenerated from software according to the data input. The cumulative Z-curve crossed the conventional boundary, but neither the trial sequential monitoring boundary nor the RIS line was surpassed.
