Effect of Mg2+ on the GTPase activity of the recombinant FtsZ. The effect of Mg2+ on GTPase activity of the recombinant FtsZ was determined by measuring the GTPase activity of FtsZ in the presence of Mg2+ at final concentration of 0 mM (a) and 5 mM (b) using the GTPase activity assay at 50 °C and pH 7.0. The relative GTPase activity of the recombinant FtsZ is the ratio of the GTPase activity in the presence and absence of Mg2+
