Effect of various carboxylates on ALR and ALRA131K activities. ALR and ALRA131K were assayed for 5 min at 30 °C and pH 7.0 (MES buffer) using 20 mM l-alanine as the substrate in the presence of the indicated carboxylates (1 mM).
