Effects of lmw-chitosan on glutathione concentrations in mouse kidney. Group C represents the control group. Group A was induced by AA (10 mg kg−1 day−1) for 5 days. Group AM represents lmw-chitosan-treated AAN mice. Group M consists of normal mice treated with lmw-chitosan. Glutathione levels decreased in the kidneys of AAN mice; treatment with lmw-chitosan did not significantly reverse this effect. *p < 0.05, compared to Group C; # p < 0.05, compared to the Group A, n = 5–6.
