Thermal and chemical hyperalgesia (cumulative reaction time ±SE) measured in CCI mice and sham mice with acetone test preoperatively and postoperatively. Statistics were done with linear mixed models in which: * p<0.05 as compared with preoperative measurement, **p<0.01 as compared with preoperative measurement, ***p<0.001 as compared with preoperative measurement. Measurements on day 3 and day 33 were left out, because of missing data. A significant increase was seen in both CCI mice, silk and catgut ligatures, from day 0 until day 7. In silk a significant decrease is seen after day 7.
