Each value represents the arithmetic mean ± SD of three separate experiments (n = 3): * < 0.05 when compared with controls (HT-29 or MCF-7 cells without BTE). Maximal DNA damage (100%) for 100 comets was considered the DNA damage (TD) with the maximal score (400).
