  1. Logistic regression analysis was used to calculate the odds ratios for having plasma Hsp27 levels above binary thresholds. The reference population was the elderly control group. The adjusted model 1* included age, gender, history of hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, smoking (pack years) and high sensitivity C-reactive protein. Adjusted model 2ā€  included all factors in model 1 plus history of CAD.
