  1. HR-25%, HR-50%, MAP-25%, and MAP-50% are defined as the time taken to reach 25% and 50% reductions in heart rate (HR) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) from the start of bupivacaine infusion, respectively. Total doses of bupivacaine infused to reach each time point are also described. HR-50%, MAP-25%, and MAP-50% were significantly prolonged in the Hypocapnia Group compared with the Control Group. Similarly, total doses of bupivacaine infused were higher in the Hypocapnia Group than in the Control Group at HR-50%, MAP-25%, and MAP-50%.
