  1. - = trial not done for this species; *mortality of Musca domestica was a function of non-emergence from puparia; **insects exposed to soil + fungus, with absence of food source (final fungal load may differ between dishes).
  2. Inoculation was via dipping, injection, soil treatment and baiting. All trials were run at 10°C. Mortality was assessed after 5 d for injected insects and 4 wk for soil inoculation. For each insect and for each inoculation method, figures with the same letter within each column are not significantly different (P > 0.05).
