FGF21 elevates mitochondrial antioxidants in the dopaminergic neurons. Human dopaminergic neurons were treated with 50 ng/ml FGF21 for 24 h followed by immunoblotting. (A) Immunoblots. β-actin was used as a control. FGF21 increased the levels Sod2 and Trx2 that are antioxidants localized to mitochondria. (B-C) Quantification.
