Shown in green is the input tuning curve, normalized to the average (over the population) of the mean (over all orientations) of all tuning curves in the network. (C) Mean and standard deviation (across neurons) of all aligned tuning curves, for networks with different degrees of recurrence. Lighter shadings denote lower contrasts, respectively.
