Tip of the appendix. Chronic granulomatous inflammation adjoining submucosal GCT is noticeable. Foreign body-type multinucleated giant cells (black arrows), mastocytes and eosinophils (blue arrows) are seen together with lymphocytes and plasmocytes (A and B, hematoxylin-eosin, original magnification x4 and x10).
