Figure 1From: Invasive ductolobular carcinoma of the breast: spectrum of mammographic, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging findings correlated with proportion of the lobular component48 year old woman, with positive family history for breast cancer, presented with a palpable lump on the left breast, finally diagnosed as ductolobular carcinoma with a ≤ 20% proportion of the lobular component. a) Mediolateral oblique and craniocaudal mammograms show an irregular and spiculated mass. A comet-tail like projection arises from the anterior and posterior margins and a discrete retraction around the lesion can be seen. b) Ultrasound of the left breast demonstrates an irregular, hypoechoic and vertically oriented mass, with echogenic halo at 3 o’clock position.Back to article page
